Between 7 and 8 November, Russian forces carried out a series of drone strikes on settlements in the Chernihiv region. In the Oster community, a 34-year-old woman was injured, and a residential building and a farm building were destroyed. In the Horodnya community, a drone strike caused a fire in a timber yard at a local business, whilst private homes were damaged in the Novhorod-Siverskyi and Pliskiv communities. Vyacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, reported on the consequences of the attacks.

Attack on the Oster community: a 34-year-old woman was injured
On 7 November, a Russian «Geran»-type attack drone struck the Osterska community in the Chernihiv district. The strike caused a private residential house to catch fire. The fire destroyed the house and an outbuilding, whilst at least six neighbouring houses were damaged.
During the attack A 34-year-old local woman was injured. According to the State Emergency Service, the woman sustained a shrapnel wound to her leg. She was treated at the scene. Rescue workers extinguished the fire that broke out following the impact.
The extent of the destruction indicates that residential buildings have suffered significant damage. The regional authorities have not reported any information regarding other casualties in the Oster community.
«Lightning» destroyed a residential building in the Novhorod-Sivershchyna region
Russian troops also attacked «Molniya»-type drones» a village in the Novhorod-Siverskyi community. According to the local district military administration, the village in question is Pushkari, where three strikes were recorded on 7 November.
The first strike took place at around 13:50, with the next ones occurring at approximately 14:10 and 15:45. The drones attacked private residential areas, causing fires and destruction.
As a result of the shelling, a residential building and outbuildings – including a shed and an outdoor kitchen – were completely destroyed. Two further residential buildings were damaged. According to preliminary reports from the police, no one was injured as a result of these attacks.
A business was attacked in the Gorodnya community, and a residential property was attacked in the Nizhyn district
On the night of 7 November, a Russian «Geran»-type drone struck the premises of a business in the Horodnya community. The strike caused sawn timber to catch fire. The regional administration has not provided any details regarding casualties or the full extent of the damage to the business.
On the morning of 8 November, Russian troops attacked the Pliskivska community in the Nizhyn district. Residential buildings were damaged as a result of the strike. Details of any casualties are being confirmed.
In addition to attacks on residential buildings and a business, Russian troops struck one of the energy facilities in the Chernihiv region over the past 24 hours. The regional authorities reported damage to the infrastructure, without disclosing its location or technical specifications.
