Shelling of the Dnipropetrovsk region: the impact on civilians and infrastructure
On the night of 23 June 2026, Russian forces carried out an air strike on the Vasylkiv community in the Dnipropetrovsk region. As a result of the attack a 60-year-old man who was injured, and the fire and rescue service building was also damaged. Fortunately, none of the rescue workers were injured, but the explosion caused a fire in the destroyed residential building. This was reported reports SES of Ukraine.
In addition, a fire broke out on the premises of a private residence in the Bozhidarivska community in the Kam’yanskyi district. This demonstrates that shelling not only causes damage to infrastructure but also endangers the lives of civilians.
The shelling also affected the Nikopol, Samariv and Dnipro districts. Residential buildings, businesses, vehicles and other infrastructure were damaged in these areas.
