Fire at the Zaliv factory in Kerch
The “Crimean Wind” monitoring group has reported a fire at the “Zaliv” shipyard in the temporarily occupied city of Kerch. According to satellite imagery, two sources of fire have been detected in the waters around the shipyard. The previous night, residents of the city reported a series of explosions, gunfire and the smell of burning.

Satellites have detected thermal anomalies in the vicinity of the plant. Analysts suggest that these signatures may indicate a fire in the plant’s water area. However, it is not yet possible to definitively determine the nature of the incident. In particular, since 2020, work has been underway there on the construction of two Project 23900 multi-purpose landing ships — the “Ivan Rogov” and the “Mitrofan Moskalenko”. Previously, satellite images had confirmed the advanced stage of completion of the hull of the “Ivan Rogov”, which was in the shipyard’s dry dock.
