At least two people were injured as a result of a massive Russian drone attack on Zaporizhzhia. Fires broke out in various parts of the city at industrial sites, in warehouses and administrative buildings, as well as in residential areas. Firefighters were forced to suspend their efforts due to the threat of further strikes.
Russian UAVs caused fires at several locations
As a result of a massive Russian drone strike, fires broke out simultaneously at several sites. According to data According to the rescue services, a warehouse at a furniture factory, an administrative building, and a warehouse and production hall at one of the businesses were on fire.
The fire also spread to the teaching block of one of the higher education institutions. In addition, fires broke out on the roof of a residential building, in outbuildings and in garages.
Private residential buildings and other structures located near the impact sites were damaged by the blast wave and debris.

Rescue workers suspended their work due to repeated threats
The clean-up operation following the attack was hampered by the risk of further Russian strikes. Whilst extinguishing the fires, rescue workers received warnings of a renewed threat and were forced to temporarily leave the dangerous areas and take cover.
Despite the difficult conditions, all the fires that were reported were successfully extinguished. Rescue workers and other emergency services were at the scenes of the incidents.
According to preliminary reports, two people have been injured as a result of the attack. They are receiving the necessary medical attention. Details regarding the final number of casualties and the extent of the damage are still being confirmed.
The attack caused damage to civilian and industrial infrastructure
The impact affected several types of civilian buildings at once — ranging from residential blocks and garages to industrial premises and a school building. A large number of fires placed an additional strain on the emergency services.
A particular problem during such attacks remains the risk of follow-up strikes. The need to interrupt rescue operations and take cover may prolong the time taken to extinguish fires and make it more difficult to assist those affected.
We would like to remind you that Russia also attacked the company’s production facility last night UKRTAC in the Kyiv region.
