Explosion in Boryspil: the aftermath of the shelling

On the night of 2 July, the capital region was once again hit by heavy shelling. As a result, debris from an enemy missile struck an official Porsche dealership in Boryspil. The blast wave destroyed part of the building’s façade, exposing the internal structures and service pipes. Debris from building materials is scattered across the car centre’s grounds, and the perimeter has been cordoned off with emergency tape.

During the incident, a localised fire broke out inside the building, destroying at least two cars. There are no reports of casualties, as only security staff were present in the building at night, and they managed to take cover in time. Units from the State Emergency Service are working at the scene to deal with the aftermath of the fire and clear the rubble.

Law enforcement officers have documented yet another crime committed by the Russian occupiers against Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure. It is important to note that such shelling deals a serious blow not only to residential areas but also to key infrastructure facilities, undermining the country’s economy and security.
