Ukraine is under constant space surveillance by Russia and China. The Russian Federation has 253 satellites and China has 1,094 that regularly fly over Ukrainian territory. This makes it impossible to conceal the accumulation of troops, equipment and other objects.
Scope of satellite tracking
According to Texty.org.ua, According to the data, 253 Russian satellites regularly fly over Ukraine. Of these, 165 have unknown missions, which makes it difficult to assess their activities.
China is also actively assisting Russia, having 1,094 satellites at its disposal. Ukraine is almost constantly in the field of view of these satellites.
What the satellites see
The satellites are recording:
- accumulation of military equipment and personnel,
- location and movement of troops,
- positions and military production,
- impact results and analysis of arrivals.
In fact, there is not a single point left where the Ukrainian military or facilities could remain «invisible» to satellite surveillance.
Context.
Russia is actively using satellite technology to conduct hostilities against Ukraine. China provides Russia with support in the field of space surveillance, which makes it much more difficult to conceal movements and objects.
According to analysts, total satellite monitoring increases the risks to Ukrainian troops and infrastructure.
