According to updated figures, at least 19 people were injured, including a two-month-old baby; the strike caused damage to residential buildings in the city.

The first reports of the aftermath of the attacks emerged around midday. The head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Vadym Filashkin Initial reports indicated at least 11 casualties, but the number of injured subsequently rose.
Rescue workers, medical staff and law enforcement officers are continuing to work at the sites of the strikes. They are assessing the full extent of the damage caused by the attack.
The strikes damaged dozens of residential buildings
According to the latest figures, at least 34 blocks of flats have been damaged. The photographs released show smashed windows, damaged façades, destroyed entrance halls and debris from the buildings’ structures.
Filashkin had previously also reported damage to an infrastructure facility. Attacks on the city lasted throughout the morning.
The FAB-250 with an UMPC can glide after being dropped
According to updated information from the law enforcement agencies, the Russian army dropped nine FAB-250 bombs, fitted with universal guidance and correction modules, on the city. The FAB-250 is a high-explosive aerial bomb weighing approximately 250 kilograms.
The UMPC adds wings and a guidance system to the munition. This enables the bomb to glide towards its target after being dropped from an aircraft, and allows the Russian air force to deploy it from a greater distance from the front line.
The authorities are urging residents of the Donetsk region to evacuate
Russian forces regularly use such munitions against towns and villages in the Donetsk region. On 13 August, eight KAB-250 bombs were dropped on Kramatorsk and Bilenke: one person was killed and a further 17 were injured.
On 23 August, near Kramatorsk, a Russian «Lancet» missile struck a civilian vehicle, killing two people. Following this latest attack, Vadym Filashkin once again urged residents of the region to leave for safer parts of Ukraine.
