In the Brovary district of the Kyiv region, large warehouses containing goods were burnt down as a result of a new Russian attack. According to preliminary reports from local media, logistics facilities serving the ATB chain may have been targeted. This involves hundreds of thousands of items of stock ready for dispatch to shops.

Large warehouses were on fire near Brovary
After the night shift and morning attack On 28 September, large-scale fires broke out at warehouse facilities in the Brovary district. Emergency services reported that warehouse and office premises had caught fire. According to preliminary reports, there were no casualties at these locations.
The footage released shows large areas engulfed in flames. According to reports in the Ukrainian media, the warehouses contained hundreds of thousands of items intended for distribution through the retail network. Preliminary reports suggest these are logistics-related facilities ATB. The company does indeed have distribution centres in the Brovary district — specifically in Velyka Dymerka and Krasylivka.
Will the shelves at ATB be empty?
A large-scale loss of stock is likely to result in temporary disruptions affecting certain categories of goods, particularly in shops that received goods directly from the damaged logistics hub.
Previously, following damage to other logistics centres, the chain had reorganised its routes, utilised other distribution centres and its own fleet of vehicles. The company stated that the situation regarding supplies to shops remained under control, although there might be a temporary reduction in the product range in some regions.
Russia is systematically targeting warehouses and logistics facilities
Recent weeks have seen a series of major losses for Ukrainian businesses. The attacks have targeted distribution centres, production facilities and warehouses containing finished goods.
Kärcher. On 27 September, a Russian attack completely destroyed the company’s warehouse, which contained equipment and goods. No one was injured, but some orders had to be delayed or cancelled. The company is switching to alternative logistics routes.
Zammler. A warehouse belonging to a major logistics operator was attacked in the Brovary district. The company confirmed that the facility had been hit and reported that no employees were injured.
«Ore». Following the attack on 5 September in Zhytomyr, completely destroyed the cold store Ukraine’s largest ice-cream manufacturer. The area affected by the damage was approximately 4,350 square metres. Finished goods, machinery and other assets were stored inside.
Pharmaceutical logistics. In early September, the «’ complex sustained significant damage«Biocon» in the Boryspil district. The site housed warehouses containing medicines and medical supplies, including stocks belonging to Teva and the WHO.
Other large companies have also been hit
In August, Russia destroyed two large logistics centres «Epicentre» in Kyiv and the surrounding region. In total, the company estimates the damage caused by rocket and drone attacks at more than $1 billion.
On 24 September, a ballistic missile struck the main production facility and logistics warehouse of «TK-Domashniy Tekstil» in Kyiv. The company reported significant damage.
On 25 September, the «Sushiya» restaurant chain’s warehouse was completely destroyed, along with its stock and packaging. The restaurants, however, continued to operate.
At the end of August, the strike also damaged Auchan warehouse in Boryspil, and the day after the attack, the company began to resume normal deliveries. The Varus chain, in particular, suffered significant losses to its stock.
The strike near Brovary is therefore part of a wider series of attacks on Ukrainian logistics. Such attacks may result in localised disruptions and delays to supplies; however, there is currently no reason to speak of a general food shortage or shelves being completely emptied.
