What is an urgent restraining order?
An urgent order is immediate response measure, which allows:
- to oblige the offender to leave the place of residence;
- prohibit him/her from contacting the victim;
- ensure physical protection of the victim during the processing of the case.
The document comes into force immediately after it is issued.
Advantages of the electronic format
Efficiency
It takes much less time to process than in paper format - the decision is made on the spot.
Fast data exchange
The information is instantly transferred to the National Police's information systems and made available to all relevant units.
Higher accuracy
Automation of document completion reduces the risk of technical or human errors common in paper-based procedures.
Paper orders remain in force, and can be used in cases where the electronic version is not available.
