Zelenskyy: the system of replenishment of combat brigades will be revised
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the approach to replenishing Ukrainian combat brigades with personnel requires mandatory viewing. According to him, «almost every combat brigade is talking about the need for change».
«The number of people in the brigades should be reviewed, of course. This issue is being raised in all units. There is an instruction from the Chief of Staff to work on this,» Zelenskyy stressed.
Why changes are needed
According to the military, this may include updating approaches to manning:
- optimisation of rotations;
- improving the quality of training;
- redeployment of units depending on the needs of the frontline;
- Changes in replenishment rates to maintain combat capability.
The President stressed that decisions should be made after a comprehensive analysis of the real needs of the army.
