Increased funding for the battalions
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a briefing by the Chief of the General Staff Serhiy Palisa announced the decision to increase funding for each battalion carrying out combat missions. “The programme for direct funding of units is working well. We will be scaling up this programme. Since last year, when this funding began, it has already enabled brigades to speed up the procurement of drones and other necessary equipment,” the President noted.
Additional funding for artillery units
Zelenskyy also announced that separate funds would be allocated to artillery units and corps-level formations. The relevant decisions have already been taken, and the additional funding will be received in July. This will improve the effectiveness of combat operations and ensure the army is provided with the necessary resources.
Cooperation with international partners
“Work is continuing with our partners to strengthen air defence. There are further steps we can take through cooperation between the US and the EU.
