A massive attack on Kyiv
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the site of the Russian strike on a residential high-rise block in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv, which was damaged during a massive attack by the Russian Federation. According to the head of state, this was one of the largest-scale attacks on the capital since the start of the full-scale war.
«We are in favour of a just peace, but also of just responses.» Responding to journalists’ questions about Ukraine’s possible response to Russian strikes, Zelenskyy noted that until peace is achieved, Ukraine is prepared to respond.
The President did not specify exactly what steps might be taken in response to the latest attack by the Russian Federation, but he emphasised the importance of timely military aid from international partners. “If our partners had fulfilled their promises on time, we might not have suffered so many casualties today,” he stressed.
Shortage of air defence equipment
Zelenskyy also highlighted the critical need for air defence systems. Ukraine needs 140 missiles to intercept 70 Russian missiles PAC-3, which are currently out of stock.
«Putin is striving to show that he is winning. But there is no victory, and there will be no victory,» the president stressed, emphasising that the Kremlin will not achieve its objectives in the war.
These statements came in the wake of one of Russia’s most intense attacks on Kyiv, which once again highlights Ukraine’s critical need for additional air defence systems and ammunition for them.
