Starting in June 2026, private car owners will be able to make appointments to cross the border via eCheckpoint at Diia, as well as on the eCheckpoint website and app. New digital tools are being introduced to increase transparency and convenience of crossing.

eThe queue for passenger cars will start in June

According to the Vice Prime Minister Kuleba, The eCheckpoint system for private cars will be launched in June 2026. This will allow drivers of passenger cars to book a place in the queue to cross the border in advance, avoiding long waits at checkpoints.

Recording via Diia, website and app

Registration for border crossing will be available on several platforms at once: through the state app Diia, the official website and the eChecha mobile app. This should simplify the process for users and make it more accessible to different categories of citizens.

New digital checks and priority for trucks

In addition to queueing, the company is introducing automatic checks for a Green Card, a mandatory insurance policy for travelling abroad. Also, trucks with T1 customs documents will receive priority passage, which is designed to optimise traffic at the border.

The aim of the innovations is transparency and convenience

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the main goal of the new system is to make border crossing more predictable, convenient and transparent for all users. The authorities expect this to reduce waiting times and reduce the burden on checkpoints.
