In Gostomel, in the Kyiv region, four people were injured as a result of a Russian attack, including an 8-year-old girl. In the Bucha district, rescue workers spent the night putting out fires in two warehouses; as of the morning of 3 October, work is continuing at the sites to clear the rubble and secure the structures. According to available information, there were no fatalities.
What is known about the victims
Initially, the authorities reported two casualties. A 66-year-old man suffered burns to his body and a closed abdominal injury; he was taken to hospital. An eight-year-old girl sustained a shrapnel wound to her lower limb.
Later. the number of casualties has risen to four. Another man suffered burns to his head, whilst a woman sustained a knee injury and an acute stress reaction. They were treated at the scene and did not require hospitalisation.
Warehouses were on fire in the Bucha district
Following the attack, there were fires in warehouses and production facilities. During the night, rescue workers were deployed to two sites in the Bucha district. As of this morning, work is continuing to clear away damaged structures and extinguish the remaining fires.
The full extent of the damage is still being assessed. As of the latest reports, no further information has been received regarding additional casualties or fatalities.
