Night-time shelling of Kyiv: casualties and destruction
At least one person has died as a result of overnight Russian shelling of Kyiv. This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. The body of a woman was discovered whilst firefighters were extinguishing a blaze at a building in the Sviatoshynskyi district. The circumstances surrounding her death are currently being investigated.

Rescue workers, municipal services and other emergency units are working at the scenes. They are extinguishing fires, clearing rubble and inspecting damaged buildings. Information regarding any other possible casualties and the extent of the damage is currently being verified.
Consequences of the Russian strike
