On the morning of 24 September, Russian forces struck an agricultural enterprise in Stara Hnylytsia in the Kharkiv region. Six workers were killed and a further 12 people were injured. That same morning, following overnight shelling in Kyiv, it was reported that two people had been killed, eight wounded and more than 50 civilian facilities damaged.

The attack took place in Stara Hnylytsia, in the Malynivska community of the Chuhuiv district. According to the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Oleg Sinegubov, among the dead were four women and two men.

In Kyiv, the attack affected a residential building, a medical facility and post offices
One of those killed in the capital was a woman who was on her way to a shelter when the attack took place. A man was killed whilst taking shelter shelling in an underpass. Among those injured is a police officer who arrived to help the victims; two of the injured are in a serious condition. Residential buildings, post offices, a maternity hospital and a textile factory were damaged. Separate reports mentioned a fire involving cars during the morning attack.
According to the city authorities, in the Podilskyi district, windows and part of the façade of the maternity hospital were damaged, and a fire broke out in the car park nearby. In the Dniprovskyi district, debris damaged private properties and a residential building.
The air raid continued in several regions
During the night, Russian troops also attacked the Zhytomyr, Mykolaiv and Odesa regions. In Odesa, attack drones struck shopping centre and the polyclinic building. The regional prosecutor’s office reported that two people had been injured and had received treatment at the scene.
Morning reports also mentioned attempts to attack infrastructure and civilian businesses in the Vinnytsia, Rivne and Zhytomyr regions. An air-raid alert was in force in many regions at the time, so information on the consequences of the attacks may have been updated.
