The Tuapse refinery in the Krasnodar Territory was damaged
On the night of 27 May 2026, units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces struck at oil refinery «Tuapse plant in the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation. A fire and smoke were reported at the plant. The enterprise is one of the largest in southern Russia, with a capacity of over 12 million tonnes of oil per year. Defeat of Russian intelligence and air defence
Using Storm Shadow air-launched missiles, the Ukrainian Air Force struck the Russian Air Force's intelligence automation software and hardware systems in Voronezh, Taganrog and Sevastopol. These complexes are key to the collection and processing of intelligence data, which affects the operational capabilities of Russian troops. The Nebo-SV radar station near Kamianka and the Buk-M2 command and control vehicle near Kadiyivka were also damaged, reducing the effectiveness of the occupiers« air defence.
Strikes on command posts and warehouses in eastern Ukraine
Ukrainian defence forces also hit command posts in the areas of Tsvetniye Pisky and Sorokyne in Luhansk region. In addition, a materiel depot in Sorokyne and a drone production facility in the Azovske area of Zaporizhzhia region were damaged. These actions reduce the logistical and combat capabilities of Russian units in the region.
The strategic importance of strikes
Consistent attacks on facilities that support Russian military operations demonstrate the systematic approach of Ukrainian forces to weaken the aggressor. Reduced oil refining capacity, damage to intelligence, air defence and logistics create additional challenges for the Russian army. This increases pressure on the military and economic potential of the Russian Federation and brings the cessation of armed aggression against Ukraine closer.
