Zelenskyy was briefed on the situation on the northern border

According to the Head of State, the Ukrainian security forces are constantly monitoring the situation and taking measures to prevent any threats from Belarus.

The Ukrainian side notes that Russian forces continue to use Belarusian territory to deploy electronic warfare equipment, reconnaissance drones and other military systems that could be used in attacks on Ukrainian territory. Kyiv emphasises that it is closely monitoring any changes in military activity near the northern border.
Ukraine warns of a strong response
The President has previously stated on numerous occasions that Ukraine is prepared to take pre-emptive action to defend its territory. Kyiv’s official position remains unchanged: Should Belarusian troops actually cross the state border, the response will be immediate, in particular with the aim of striking military targets used for acts of aggression.
