New air defence post in Moscow

Another Russian air defence position has appeared in Moscow. According to open-source satellite imagery and analysis by OSINT researchers, the new site has been set up on the Vorobyovy Gory, less than 10 kilometres from the Kremlin. The images show concrete positions whose configuration corresponds to sites for the deployment of S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems or С-400, as well as mobile radar systems. However, there has been no official confirmation from the Russian authorities regarding the purpose of the facility.

Putin’s daughter’s foundation is located nearby

Analysts paid particular attention to the location of the new complex. The site is situated near the innovation centre and the «Innopraktika» foundation, which is headed by Kateryna Tikhonova — my youngest daughter Vladimir Putin. The Moscow State University campus is also located nearby.

Moscow continues to strengthen its air defence system

Since the outbreak of full-scale war, Russia has been gradually strengthening its air defence system around Moscow. Previously, the Pantsir-S1, S-300 and S-400 systems had already were placed on the roofs administrative buildings, near strategic facilities and in the capital’s parks. According to military analysts, the new positions are intended to strengthen the capital’s defences against drone and missile attacks.
