M-09: The Road to Europe
Major repairs to the M-09 Ternopil–Lviv–Rava-Ruska road, which forms part of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T), are currently in full swing. This transport corridor, which connects Ukraine with the European Union, has received a significant boost thanks to investment from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The total length of the upgraded sections is over 62 kilometres. Investments of over 100 million euros are aimed at improving road infrastructure, increasing traffic capacity and enhancing transport safety.
Bridges: Progress and Challenges
At the same time as major refurbishment Thirteen bridges are currently undergoing reconstruction. Four of them have already been fully completed, whilst the others are at stages of completion ranging from 53% to 90%. This is significant progress, but there is still work to be done.
