On 5 October, Russian troops launched rocket attacks on Chuhuiv in the Kharkiv region. Following the Russian strike, one of the private houses in Chuguev was destroyed. A 60-year-old woman was trapped under the rubble. Rescue workers freed her and handed her over to the paramedics. The victim was taken to hospital. Another resident — a 41-year-old man — was diagnosed with an acute stress reaction.
Operational units from the State Emergency Service and a community rescue officer were working at the scene.
Reports from the city indicate that there are already three people who have been injured
Head of the Chuhuiv City Military Administration Galina Minaeva She later reported that the number of casualties resulting from the Russian strikes had risen to three people. According to her, nearly one and a half dozen private homes, a nursery, a family health centre and several cars have been damaged.
The State Emergency Service has issued a separate report on two destroyed private houses. Consequently, some of the residential buildings were completely destroyed, whilst others were damaged.
Power cuts occurred in Chuhuiv following the strikes
Russian troops carried out two strikes on one of the city’s neighbourhoods. Following the explosions, power cuts occurred in the Chuhuiv community and surrounding settlements. The city authorities reported that emergency teams were working to restore the electricity supply. Assessments of the damaged buildings and the full extent of the attack’s consequences are ongoing.
