As a result of the attack one person was injured. Two craters were formed on the grounds of the children’s hospital, and the building’s windows and a gas pipe were damaged. The gas leak was dealt with by the emergency services. At the time of the strike the children and medical staff were taking shelter, so there were no casualties on the premises of the medical facility.

A Russian missile struck the grounds of a children’s hospital
One of the targets of the Russian attack was a medical facility in In the Shevchenko district of the capital. According to the city authorities, damage to the building and a gas pipe was reported following the attack on the grounds of one of the children’s hospitals.
At the point of impact, the following formed two craters. The blast wave damaged the building’s windows, and a gas leak occurred as a result of damage to the gas mains. Gas service staff quickly brought the leak under control.
Most importantly, at the time of the attack, the children, doctors and other hospital staff were in shelter. There are no casualties or injured people on the premises of the medical facility.
A warehouse caught fire in the Shevchenkivskyi district
Another strike hit some warehouses in the same area of Kyiv. The strike caused damage and a major fire. The Kyiv City Military Administration confirmed that the warehouses had caught fire and reported one casualty.
The fire spread over an area of approximately 1,200 square metres. The rescue services contained and subsequently extinguished the fire and continued their work on the site of the destroyed building.
During an inspection of the impact site, the following was discovered one injured person. She was handed over to the medical staff so they could treat her.
Kyiv was attacked following a ballistic warning
An air raid alert was declared in the capital following a report from the Air Force that the threat of the use of ballistic weapons. Explosions were subsequently heard in Kyiv. The Air Force confirmed that Russia had used ballistic missiles during the night of 11 August.
The damage was recorded at at least two locations in the Shevchenkivskyi district — on the premises of a children’s medical facility and at a warehouse.
Emergency and rescue operations following the Russian attack are continuing. The final figures on the damage may be revised once the inspection of all the sites hit has been completed.
