The situation on the Ukrainian border remains tense due to the enemy's intensification of activities in Sumy and Kharkiv regions. This was reported by SBGS spokesman Demchenko, who drew attention to the development of the enemy's military infrastructure and potential risks from Belarus and Transnistria.
Enemy activation on the border
Recently, there has been an increase in hostile activity in the border areas of Ukraine. According to Andriy Demchenko, spokesman for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, The situation is particularly tense in the areas of Krasnopillia and Miropillia in Sumy region, as well as in Vovchansk in Kharkiv region. The enemy is increasing its presence, which creates additional challenges for Ukraine's defence forces.
Ukrainian border guards are closely monitoring the situation and responding promptly to any changes. It is noted that such enemy activity may indicate preparations for provocations or attempts to destabilise the situation in the region.
Military infrastructure and threats from Belarus
Belarus continues to actively build military infrastructure in the areas adjacent to the Ukrainian border. This may indicate an intention to strengthen its military potential in the border area. At the same time, according to the SBGS spokesperson, the enemy does not currently have enough forces for a large-scale offensive from the territory of Belarus.
However, we cannot rule out the possibility of various kinds of provocations that could be used to divert attention or create additional pressure on Ukraine. Ukrainian security forces are on high alert to respond to potential threats in a timely manner.
The situation on the border with Transnistria
Special attention is paid to the situation on the border with the so-called «Transnistria». According to Demchenko, this area remains threatening, but no movement of military equipment or subversive and reconnaissance groups from the enclave has been recorded so far.
The number of Russian forces in Transnistria is around 1,000 to 1,500. Despite this, Ukrainian border guards continue to closely monitor the situation to prevent sudden changes or provocations in this area.
Why it matters
Increased enemy activity in the border areas directly affects the security of residents of Ukraine's border regions. The strengthening of military infrastructure and possible provocations may complicate the defence situation and require additional response measures.
Controlling the situation on the border with Transnistria remains strategically important to prevent unexpected threats. Operational information and the readiness of Ukrainian law enforcement agencies are key factors in ensuring the stability and security of the state in difficult wartime conditions.
