In Boyarka, in the Kyiv region, the main production and storage facilities of «Ventilation Systems» (VENTS) – one of Ukraine’s largest manufacturers of ventilation equipment – were destroyed as a result of a Russian missile and drone attack on the night of 20 September. No employees were injured, but the company has already warned of possible disruptions to the supply of some of its products.

VENTS’ production facilities in Boyarka have been destroyed
The company «Ventilation Systems» itself reported on the extent of the damage. According to its figures, as a result of the missile and drone strike, there was The company’s main production and storage facilities have been destroyed. The company emphasised that the most important thing is that none of its staff were injured.
Given the scale of the damage, the following are expected in the near future: disruptions to the availability and supply of certain VENTS products. The manufacturer has stated that it is continuing to operate and will endeavour to resume fulfilling orders as quickly as possible.
One of the largest manufacturers of ventilation systems in Ukraine
«Ventilation Systems» has been in business for over 25 years and manufactures equipment under the VENTS brand.
According to the company, its production capacity prior to the attack stood at over 90,000 square metres, and the products were supplied to more than 120 countries around the world. The manufacturer describes itself as one of the world leaders in the energy-efficient ventilation equipment sector.
Every year, the company produced around 5 million domestic fans, almost 350,000 units of industrial ventilation equipment and more 22,000 supply and extract ventilation units and air-handling units. The company employed around 3,000 specialists.
The attack on the Kyiv region damaged dozens of sites
Russian attacks on the Kyiv region lasted for almost the whole of 20 September, and throughout the night and into the morning of 21 September.
According to the Kyiv Regional State Administration, the consequences were recorded in the Fastiv, Vyshhorod, Bucha, Boryspil and Obukhiv districts. A total of 34 properties were damaged — residential buildings, industrial facilities, warehouses, administrative buildings, car repair workshops, petrol stations and other infrastructure.
It was in the Fastiv district, to which Boyarka belongs, that the highest number of damaged properties was recorded — 12.
For VENTS, the attack means not only the destruction of its production facilities, but also the need to rebuild the company’s warehousing and logistics system. The company has not yet disclosed the exact amount of the losses.
