Territorial recruitment centres (TRCs) are starting to conduct inspections at enterprises where the reserved employees work, as well as in gyms. According to MP Serhiy Nagornyak, the aim is to find men who do not have disabilities. The head of the Anti-Corruption Council at the Ministry of Defence, Hudymenko, said that so-called «jocks» were being mobilised.
TCCs start inspections at enterprises
According to the statement Sergey Nagornyak, In addition, the territorial recruitment centres (TRCs) will visit enterprises where reserved employees work. The main purpose of these inspections is to personally verify the presence of men with reservations at workplaces and to check whether they are actually disabled. According to information, the TCCs want to see «real men», not just documentation.
Such raids strengthen control over compliance with the law on booking employees for mobilisation.
Mobilisation in gyms
In addition to enterprises, the TACs plan to visit gyms. This was stated by the head of the Anti-Corruption Council at the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine Gudymenko. According to him, mobilisation is planned among the so-called «jocks» - men who are actively involved in sports and may be fit for military service.
This step is explained by the need to increase the mobilisation potential and attract those who may have previously avoided conscription due to reservations or other reasons. Visits to gyms help identify those who are physically fit for service.
Control over booked employees
Increased control over booked employees is linked to the overall strategy Strengthening mobilisation in Ukraine. Visits to businesses and gyms will help to avoid booking abuse and ensure transparency of the process.
According to the authorities, such measures are aimed at ensuring that only those who are really needed by the economy or critical infrastructure receive reservations. The rest will be subject to mobilisation in accordance with the current legislation.
Why it matters
TCC inspections at businesses and gyms could have an impact on the mobilisation situation in Ukraine. They are aimed at identifying people who illegally use reservations or avoid service without valid reasons.
Involvement of physically fit men, in particular from gyms, in mobilisation will increase the combat capability of the Armed Forces. It also encourages employers and employees to comply with the legislation on reservations.
Such actions will contribute to the transparency and fairness of the mobilisation process, as well as increase public confidence in state institutions in defence matters.
