The Security Service of Ukraine has stated that, together with other components of the Defence Forces, it struck the Azov Optical-Mechanical Plant in the Rostov Oblast and the Ilsk Oil Refinery in the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation. At the oil refinery, fires were reported near the tank farm and the ELOU-AVT unit. Separately, in the Rostov Region, a Russian «Pantsir-S2» anti-aircraft missile and gun system was struck.

Production areas at the plant in Azov have been damaged
The strike on the facility was carried out by the SBU’s «Alpha» Special Operations Centre in conjunction with the Ukrainian Navy. According to preliminary reports, facilities involved in optical and foundry production, the assembly workshop, the electroplating workshop and the printed circuit board manufacturing workshop were damaged.
The Azov Optical-Mechanical Plant is part of the Russian corporation «Tactical Missile Weapons». The plant manufactures radar and infrared homing heads for guided missiles, thermal imaging devices and electronic systems for high-precision artillery. During the attack, «Neptune» cruise missiles and «Ruta», «Palyanitsa» and «Bars» jet-propelled drone missiles were used.
In Azov itself, hits on railway tankers carrying fuel and lubricants were also recorded.

Another target of the joint operation was the Ilsk Oil Refinery. Following an impact on the refinery’s grounds, two fires broke out – one in the vicinity of the tank farm and the other near the ELOU-AVT unit.
The SBU has announced that it is continuing its strikes against weapons and fuel production facilities

The SBU has stated that it is continuing special operations aimed at reducing Russia’s capacity to produce weapons and components for them. The agency described the strikes on oil refineries as part of a systematic effort to disrupt the Russian army’s fuel supply and as a response to the Russian Federation’s attacks on civilian targets in Ukraine.
